(21 miles / 8 - 10 hours)
From Balmaha the Way continues along the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, initially following a single track road and then onwards through woodland to the side of the Loch. As the woodland clears there are a few very small hills before, after around 7 miles you arrive at Rowardennan - a small village on the banks of the Loch characterised mainly by the Rowardennan Hotel and an old red phone box. From Rowerdennan the Way then proceeds north towards Inversnaid where a large waterfall dominates the landscape. At this point the Way gets a bit tougher on the feet as you may find yourself having to scramble over rocks to make progress. Eventually you will again start to climb high above the loch before then descending into Inverarnan at the top of the loch.
